Agawam – Dorothy A. Rosati, 94, of Agawam, MA; passed away peacefully Thursday, June 7, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born March 28, 1924 in Hartford, CT; she was a daughter to the late Victor and Margaret (Darby) Chelefou. She was a graduate of Technical High School in Springfield. She and her late husband John Felix Rosati moved to Agawam in 1946. Together with the help of her husband, they started, owned and operated John’s Trucking in Agawam for over 70 years. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Agawam where she was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club. She also enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons John V. Rosati and wife, Margaret and Thomas J. Rosati and wife, Kristi; all of them from Agawam; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughters Cheryl Polak and Darlene Shea. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 beginning at 8:00AM from Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, MA with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be held at 9:00AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 823 Main St., Agawam. Burial will follow beside her husband in Springfield Street Cemetery, Feeding Hills. Calling hours will be held from 4-7PM on Monday, June 11th at the funeral home.
