Gloria Carabetta

Gloria Carabetta, 90, passed away on May 16, 2019 at the Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Gloria was born on June 23, 1928 in Springfield, MA, to the late Nicola and Mary Carabetta. She worked at a variety of theaters in the Springfield area, and also worked at the Student Prince Restaurant. She leaves to cherish her memory, her niece Judy Socha-Chene of Springfield, MA; as well as her longtime family friend Phil Harrington. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, as well as her sister Albina Chene. A calling hour will take place from 8:00AM until 9:00AM on Tuesday, May 21 at the Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. Funeral services will begin at 9:00AM from the funeral home, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial offered at 10:00AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 123 William St., Springfield. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Rd., Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gloria’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
