Jeanne L. Wrobleski

Jeanne L. Wrobleski, 94, of Southwick passed away peacefully on May 27th at Agawam Healthcare Facility. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Stanley J. Wrobleski in 1998. She is survived by her son William and his wife Christine of Richmond, N.H., Edward and his wife Irene of Southwick, her daughter Janet Belrose of Gilbertville and Mary Brown and her husband Richard of West Springfield. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, David Wrobleski and his spouse Heather, Amy Martin and her spouse John and Brendan and Audra Brown. She also leaves behind seven beloved great-grandchildren. Jeanne was born in Springfield, MA in 1925 to the late Evelyn and William Lucas. She was a lifetime resident of Springfield. She graduated from Commerce High School and went on to perform as a singer for local big bands and married in 1949. Jeanne worked as a piano player for many years at her daughter’s dance studio, a softball coach for Our Lady of Sacred Heart parish where they won many championships. She was a member of the Women’s Club there as well. She went on to co-find the Springfield Women’s Softball League in 1974. She was a crossing guard for many years for the city and mostly enjoyed her Rushville neighborhood coffee club. Arrangements are entrusted to Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 624 College Hwy, Southwick. Family and friends are invited to attend a PUBLIC Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Southwick on Monday, June 1, at 10:00 (Mask are required in church).
