Jeffrey Allan Bober

Jeffrey Allan Bober, beloved husband of Lenita, son of Robert and Marlene, brother of Linda and Thom, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2019. He was 57 years old. Jeff was able to pursue his lifetime passion for farming with Lenita at their business, Blossoming Acres, in Southwick, MA, partnering with his uncle and aunt, Robert and Lois Davis of Southwick, MA. Jeff was born in Rochester, New York, and raised in Framingham, Massachusetts. He was an able athlete, excelling in soccer and basketball. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America where he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. Starting with a productive garden on the land of one of his employers, he embarked on his vocation, farming. He never looked back. He attended the Stockbridge School of Agriculture where he completed degree programs in Animal Livestock, Fruits and Vegetables, and Agro-Business. It was during his years at Stockbridge where he met his future spouse, Lenita Van Hook. Married in 1985, they spent thirty four years building Blossoming Acres. He was always the life of the party, ready with a hearty joke and a big bear hug. Despite the never-ending ups and downs of the farming lifestyle, he never wavered in his commitment to toil on the land and produce the finest flowers and produce in the area. He is survived by his wife, Lenita of Southwick, MA, his parents, Robert and Marlene Bober of Framingham, MA, his sister, Linda, and her husband, David Pitts of Londonderry, NH, and brother, Thom, and his wife, Susan Danton of Cummaquid, MA. He is also survived by a vibrant farm family of many past and present employees at Blossoming Acres and Putnam Farms. Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 13th from 4-7PM, followed by a memorial service at 7 pm at Southwick Forastiere Funeral and Cremation, 624 College Highway, Southwick.
