Joan B Eggers

Joan B. Eggers (Gardner), a resident of Southwick, died Wednesday the 5th of December at Redstone Rehab & Nursing Center. Born in 1936 in Peabody, MA, Joan graduated from the Lynn School of Nursing and became one of the first Licensed Ultrasound Technicians in Massachusetts specializing in OB/GYN. Joan loved good food and socializing, spending time on her boat, painting, gardening and being with her grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humor and had the kindest soul. Joan loved all animals, but especially her dogs Fritz and Skipper. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, John Eggers, her son Bryan Foote, daughter Cindy (Foote) Pettibone, step-son Michael Eggers, step-daughter Marcy Pickard, brother Albert Gardner, grandchildren Anna, Carly, Erica, Joey, Samantha and Olivia and many nieces. Joan was predeceased by her parents Albert and Blanche (Bevilacqua) Gardner. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
