M.L. Irene Lemoine

HOLYOKE – M.L. Irene Lemoine, 103, passed away on April 17, 2019 at Mount St. Vincent Care Center. Born in Southbridge, MA on December 5, 1915 to the late Paul and Laura (Martin) Lemoine, she was a 1932 graduate of the High School of Commerce in Springfield. For 46 years, Irene worked at Mass Mutual as a Policy Contract Analyst. She retired in 1977. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, spending time with family and friends, and travel. To cherish her memory, she leaves her cousins Frances (Pirani) Lunny and her husband James, their children and grandchildren, Lisa Wiedersheim and her husband Leo and their children Collin, Martin and Alfred Wiedersheim and Lauren Brennan and her husband Ralph and her children Heather and Katie Whitney as well as many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her beloved cousins Ruby (Martin) and Frank Pirani who considered Irene a sister. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 10 AM – 12 Noon at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam, MA followed by a service on site at 12 Noon. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, State St. Springfield. Her beauty, generous spirit and positive outlook will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she touched.
