East Longmeadow- Stanley “Stan” P. Chrzan Jr., 93, died December 9, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield. Stanley was the husband of the late Roberta (Casey) Chrzan who predeceased him in 1999. Born in Ludlow, MA he was a son of the late Stanley and Mary (Popek) Chrzan. He was a 1943 graduate of Huntington High School. Stanley served his country in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Fessendon.
He was the owner of Old Towne Realty and Old Towne Custom Builders of East Longmeadow. Stanley was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church, East Longmeadow. He was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, Polish Veterans, Knights of Columbus and a past member of the National Association of Realtors.
Stanley is survived by his four children, Marybeth Boynton of East Longmeadow, Kathy Langevin of Barnstable, MA, Dr. James Chrzan of Hingham, MA, Patti Chrzan of Seattle, WA; 3 grandchildren, Robert Langevin and his wife Carol, Casey Seelig and his wife Dr. Kate DiPasquale, Maggie Gendron and her husband Paul; 6 great grandchildren, Morgan Langevin, Sophia Vadella, Graham Gendron, Charlotte Seelig, Violette Gendron, Walter Seelig; and his longtime companion, Shirley Cusluski. Stanley had two brothers, Edward “Don” Chrzan and Alfred Chrzan, who predeceased him.
Calling hours are from 3:00PM -6:00PM on Sunday (Dec.15, 2019) in the Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. Funeral services will begin on Monday (Dec. 16, 2019) 10:30 AM from the funeral home, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial, celebrated, at 11:30am in St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow. Burial with military honors will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, 2140 Northampton St., Holyoke.
